Position: Retail Assistant - External Units - Matchday Only
Location: Etihad Stadium, Manchester 
Schedule: All Manchester City Mens Home Matchdays and some additional events 
 
Benefits: 

• Paid weekly, £10-£12.71 an hour for staff over 18

Role Overview: 
As a Retail Assistant - External Units - Matchday Only, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our guests at the Etihad Stadium. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering exceptional customer service to fans in a busy, high-energy outdoor retail environment.
• Confidently serving large volumes of customers quickly and accurately during peak trading periods.
• Processing card payments efficiently using our cashless tills.
• Maintaining excellent product knowledge to help fans find the right merchandise.
• Replenishing stock, keeping displays well presented and ensuring your retail unit remains clean and organised.
• Working closely with a small team of 2–3 colleagues to keep queues moving and deliver a first-class fan experience.

This role requires confident, approachable and resilient individuals who thrive under pressure. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, often serving passionate and enthusiastic football supporters before, during and after matches. Full training will be provided, although previous retail experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in a lively atmosphere are highly desirable.

 
Key Details: 

• Availability required for all home games during the 26/27 season (approximately 30+ home matches) – This is not negotiable. 
• Occasional weekday and weekend availability for key events throughout the year. 
• Please note this is primarily a matchday only role, 100% of the mens home matches (premier league +cups) and some of the womens home matches. Schedule can be seen here: https://www.mancity.com/fixtures/mens  
• Please note, due to where the work takes place this particular role is 18+ age only.

• Display enthusiasm and high energy levels. 
• Maintain consistent attention to detail and deliver exceptional customer service even in high-pressure situations. 
• Always present a professional appearance, suitable for a stadium work environment. 
• Demonstrate dedication and commitment to working as many home matchday fixtures at the MCFC stadium as possible. 
• Engage with fans during shifts, ensuring a memorable experience outside the stadium.
