Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary:     £14.30 - £15.50 per hour
Job Type: Bank Staff (Flexible Hours)

About the Role:

As a Complex Care Support Worker in Middlesbrough, you’ll be making a real difference by providing essential care to individuals with complex physical and mental health conditions. Your role will focus on supporting clients with conditions such as brain injuries, spinal injuries, strokes, and other neurological or physical challenges, helping them to lead as independent a life as possible.

Your responsibilities will include:

Personal Care: Assisting with everyday tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding.
Clinical Care: Administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and keeping accurate care records.
Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to stay independent in their daily routines.
Emotional Support: Offering companionship and reassurance to individuals and their families.
Collaborative Care: Working alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver well-rounded care plans

To excel in this role, you’ll ideally have:

At least 12 months of experience in a complex care setting, particularly with clients who have neurological or physical conditions.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 (related to healthcare)
Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and nights, on a bank basis.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some clients may need transport to appointments or activities.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate, empathetic approach, and a strong desire to help others.
