Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, 
Salary: £14.30 - £15.50 per hour
Job Type: Bank Staff (Flexible Hours)

 

About the Role:
As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will provide essential care to individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health conditions, helping them to live as independently as possible. You will be supporting clients with conditions such as brain injury, spinal injuries, stroke, and other neurological or physical conditions.
Your role will include but is not limited to:
•    Personal Care: Assisting with daily tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding.
•    Clinical Care: Supporting with medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate care records.
•    Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to be as independent as possible in their daily lives.
•    Emotional Support: Offering companionship and emotional reassurance to individuals and their families.
•    Collaborative Care: Working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care plans.

 

About You:
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
•    12 months experience in a complex care setting, particularly with individuals with neurological or physical conditions.
•    A caring and empathetic approach, with a strong desire to help others.
•    A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, on a bank basis.
•    Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle, as some clients may require transportation to appointments or activities.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or a Care Certificate.
